- Reduce road casualties through the annual Traffic & Road Safety Programme, including:
- Active and sustainable travel projects
- Traffic and safety improvements
- Speed management schemes
- Renew and maintain traffic signs and road markings
- Investigate and respond to public enquiries about traffic and road safety
About the Role Supporting a Senior Officer in delivering traffic and road safety services across the Oxford City district. Key duties include:
- Inspecting and maintaining the signs and lines network
- Preparing work details and overseeing contractors
- Responding to enquiries and coordinating with councillors and the public
- Assisting with programme delivery for projects like crossings, speed limits, and signage
About you
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
- Diplomatic and able to engage positively with the public and officials
