We have exciting opportunity for Occupational Health Technicians to join our team. The is a peripatetic role based in Birkenhead, Moreton and Chester 3 days a week and 2 days home working. There will be frequent requirement to travel further afield with prior notice and regular overnight stays. You will ensure the delivery of class leading service, conducting health surveillance, fitness for work health screening and health promotion to clients. The work is delivered at in a suitable room on client sites or from mobile screening units or RPS Clinics.

The salary for this role will be £46,000 - £48,000 per annum.

About The Team

The RPS Occupational Health business is a team of clinicians that take pride in actively promoting and maintaining good health in the workplace, through undertaking risk-based health surveillance, wellbeing, health screening and case management.

We're a team of qualified, Occupational Health Nurses, Doctors, Technicians and Advisors. We foster a culture of trust, respect, and collaboration, with shared goals for individual and company success. We emphasise quality over quantity, limiting case management assessments to six per day for manageable workloads and superior service, boosting staff morale and retaining our staff for the long term.

About You

As a key member of the Occupational Health business, your role as Occupational Health Advisor is critical to helping our clients manage health and wellbeing solutions.

You will deliver consultations covering fitness for work, absence management, and employee assistance programmes.

  • Your Responsibilities: Responsible for proactive Occupational Health provision to client companies Coordinate defined Occupational Health activities, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
  • Prevent adverse health effects from workplace activities through specialist skills and knowledge
  • Responsible for personal Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to maintain NMC registration
  • Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: Experienced in all aspects of OH service delivery including health service delivery, case management, health surveillance and screening procedures including audoiometry, spirometry, and skin management
  • Willing to undertake personal CPD to maintain your NMC registration
  • High degree of self motivation and management
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Proficient IT skills including MS office suite
  • Strong team player and able to lead by example
  • Qualifications: Registered General Nurse, holding a post registration qualification in Occupational Health at Certificate Diploma or Degree level
  • Hold a current UK driving licence
