Are you a skilled and compassionate practitioner with a passion for supporting neurodivergent children, young people, and their families? NHS Highland is seeking an experienced Neurodevelopmental Advanced Practitioner to join our Neurodevelopmental Assessment Service (NDAS) based at The Pines, Inverness.

About The Role

This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to providing high-quality neurodevelopmental assessments and support. The post holder will play a key role in the assessment, diagnosis, and formulation of care plans for children and young people with suspected neurodevelopmental conditions, such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and related profiles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct specialist neurodevelopmental assessments, drawing on clinical expertise and a range of diagnostic tools.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare colleagues, families, education, and social care professionals to deliver holistic, person-centred care.
  • Provide leadership and supervision within the team and contribute to service development and quality improvement.
  • Offer consultation and training to colleagues across health, education, and community services.

About You

  • Registered health or social care professional (e.g., Nursing, Allied Health Professional, Psychology, or Social Work).
  • Advanced experience in neurodevelopmental assessment and care planning.
  • Excellent communication, teamworking, and leadership skills.
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for neurodivergent children and their families.
