Job Summary
The Water Activity Centre (WAC) Camber sits within the Royal Naval Adventurous Training (RNAT) delivery team construct. It is one of two delivery sites within the Southwest delivering a spectrum of water based AT, Similar Adventurous Activities (SAA) and Sport to Service Personnel.
WAC Camber is a designated Royal; Navy Type 2 Adventurous Training facility; it is accountable to RNAT HQ for the detailed planning and delivery of training activity, safety and maintenance, of equipment and sail training craft;, WAC Camber requires suitably qualified and experienced personnel to safely, efficiently and effectively deliver AT through a range of activities , in accordance with mandated international, UK, MOD and RN, policy and standards.
The WAC Camber Chief Instructor’s Primary Purpose is to manage the delivery of RN WAC Camber training to service personnel (inclusive of staff) in accordance with the WAC Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), RYA syllabus, and MOD policy, in order to develop service personnel through a variety of AT/SAA activities and hence contribute to Fighting Power through the Moral Component of Operational Capability.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

Practical instruction in regards on water activities to NGB/requirement/standards.
Supervision of all instructors.
Line management of Yacht Skippers.
Deputise for WAC Manager in their absence
Manage Yacht Skipper leave and absence.
Conduct on water training and assurance as required by the RNAT HQ.
Manage staff training and CPD as required to ensure staff complete a minimum of 5 days.
Maintain An Up-to-date Record Of All Staff Qualifications
