This role will report into the Account Director for the team that manages Currys, Argos, Very, Costco and Harvey Norman.
Key to this role is the day to day management, implementing a sales strategy for help ensure Samsung continues to be the number the No.1 Home Appliance brand in the UK (by market share), whilst driving up profitability and average selling price.

Your key responsibilities
It is the National Account Manager’s role to broaden SEUK’s points of entry into sales channels and increase Samsung’s standing within the account.
The ultimate goal is to significantly grow market share to current business aspiration delivering upside both in terms of volume and value and to maintain leadership for Samsung within the UK consumer electronics market!
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
1st interview with hiring manager and another DA Account Director / Head of Sales (or another NAM)
2nd stage if shortlisted will be presentation format based on set subject to same personnel
3rd stage will be final round, same presentation to DA Head of Sales and DA VP and hiring manager

Your key responsibilities

- Deliver on set parameters that have been laid out as the strategy for SEUK in such areas as finance, marketing and operations and work to improve operational efficiency in these areas.
- Maintain and grow relationships within the named account(s) at appropriate levels
- Gather sales and market information from the customer.
- Attend weekly cross functional account meetings.
- Play a key role in the construction of the commercial plan for the quarter
- Support weekly sales and supply chain/PSI meetings to raise issues which affect customers and SEUK strategy.
- Attend quarterly account reviews and follow-up actions well within the due date
- Escalation of any business critical issues to the relevant account director or channel director
- Planning & co-ordination of product launch activities within account
- Plan and implement the sales strategy. This will include excellent relationship management, market and product awareness, forecasting and key event planning
- Working within the matrix of the organisation to formulate a robust and commercially viable business plan for the account
- Work with internal and external partners to efficiently handle stock levels and sell out/ sell in against the promotional plan, identifying and develop new opportunities
- Handle financial accrual process which are forecasted accurately so that we can balance our P&L
- Work alongside commercial and trade marketing colleagues to ensure that promotional events are planned in a professional way and ensure that supporting stock and logistics is fully handled as per our CPFR process
- Give and support a JBP with account to ensure potential is recognised, running accurate forecasting & marketing plans to achieve targets and deliver projects
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Experience of working within a dynamic and fast paced environment, preferably retail or consumer electronics
- Experience of running and developing a large product range
- Excellent partner management experience, with capability to form and maintain relationships with a wide range of internal and external customers and colleagues.
- Strong commercial foresight, with demonstrable ability to match business capability with market opportunities and drive business growth.
- Consistent track record of formulating and implementing effective business plans
- Financially astute, with the ability to understand retail and promotional pricing, margin, and accruals
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and the confidence to present information to an array of audiences.
- Excellent organisational, attention to detail and time management skills.
- Results focused with a target motivated mind set and the capability to increase sales within own account and work as part of a team to drive overall team and company performance.
- Forward-thinking influencing skills, with the ability to handle sophisticated conversations and negotiations
