As our Plant Merchandise Planner you’ll own the end to end supply plan for bedding, houseplants and outdoor garden favourites. Working hand in hand with the Head of Plant Buying, Myton Commercial plants, plant demand planning and our brilliant growers, you’ll make sure the right plants reach the right customers at the perfect moment.

What you’ll be doing:
- Plan and control seasonal plant ranges, indoor and outdoor, UK and the rest of the world. This could be finished goods or raw materials both on Myton Horticulture sites and remote grower/supplier locations
- Work in collaboration with plant demand planning and our grower base to deliver on time and in full
- Work in collaboration with internal teams to manage stock, availability, waste/shrink and markdowns for all the products
- Partner with growers and internal teams to protect quality, freshness and sustainability all the way through to our customers
- Alongside the Head of Plant Buying, have regular meetings with all the plant grower/supplier base and be the main point of contact for daily order planning
- Work closely with the demand planning role in plants to monitor forecasts versus actual orders and look at long term forecasting for all our growers, to be shared in regular review meetings
- Work with the Head of Plant Buying to set up supplier KPI meetings and regularly monitor performance
- Make sure all planning administration is up to date and easily shared and understood by the Myton Horticulture plants team
You will have:
- A track record planning live plant or fresh produce categories within retail or wholesale
- A hawkeye for data, you’re fluent in sales curves, WSSI/OTB and root cause analysis
- Confidence in negotiating, with the ability to secure availability and value during peak season pressure
- A passion for horticulture and sustainability that’s contagious to suppliers and customer teams
