Join Our Team as a Mental Health Support Worker
Location: Romsey Avenue, Nuneaton

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for an experienced and caring Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our dedicated team at Romsey Avenue – a CQC Registered home supporting with severe and enduring mental health challenges.

Romsey Avenue is a residential service for adults with severe mental illness, day staff and sleep in shifts 7 days per week. Our Romsey 13 bedded service is based in the Midlands and supports adults with severe mental illness. It is a residential service with staff 24 hours including staff sleep over.

What will you do?

In this role, I will support individuals on their recovery journey, helping them build skills, confidence and independence. My work will include:

  • Providing one to one key worker support and building positive, professional relationships
  • Carrying out assessments and developing personalised support and safety plans
  • Encouraging people to manage their mental and physical wellbeing
  • Supporting individuals with daily living skills and accessing community services
  • Liaising with mental health agencies, professionals and community groups
  • Contributing to safeguarding and promoting a safe, supportive environment
  • Keeping accurate records, monitoring progress and sharing information with the team
  • Helping improve the service by offering feedback and supporting colleagues
What we’re looking for:
  • Experience supporting people with mental illness in a social care setting (paid or voluntary)
  • Great listening skills, empathy, patience, and kindness
  • Ability to work with digital systems (Microsoft applications, email, internet)
  • A commitment to our values and willingness to learn
