As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you can bring your expertise to TTP and work on a range of exciting and fast-moving projects as part of our Energy & Materials team. The team is working on a broad range of energy transition assignments for clients, for example, in the development of green hydrogen, ammonia production, and carbon capture processes, by developing novel technologies and designing system-level architecture.

As a mechanical designer you'll play a key role in concept development and evolution of detailed design solutions using CAD. Sitting in the Energy & Materials team, you will also have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across our Deep Tech business unit.

Requirements

We welcome applications from experienced Mechanical Designers with a desire to move into a fast-paced environment.

  • A strong academic background in Engineering, gained either by degree or vocational route
  • Mechanical Design experience of product or instrumentation development in a high technology industry
  • Highly proficient in 3D CAD (ideally including SolidWorks)
  • Able to construct tolerance analyses and use appropriate analytical techniques to aid your design work
  • Experience in a regulated environment
  • Wide range of design experience which may include special purpose machinery, products, assembly jigs, test equipment or instrumentation and hands-on ability to build, test and troubleshoot
  • Able to present ideas through sketches, and ideally also animations or renderings
  • Knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing techniques
