AW Lumb & Co is looking for a qualified Management Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent) to join our finance team at our Dewsbury head office. This is a full-time, office-based role (37.5 hours per week) offering the chance to work closely with senior leadership while supporting the financial performance of a well-established business. The position offers a clear development pathway to take on the Financial Controller role in the future.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare management accounts, financial statements and supporting analysis
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and monthly financial reporting
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Produce sales and margin analysis to support commercial decision-making
• Work closely with operational teams to provide meaningful financial insight
• Support the purchase ledger and credit control teams when required
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting
• Contribute to the wider financial operations of a busy, hands-on business
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified accountant - ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent
• Experience in a management accounting or similar finance role
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Confident using financial systems and advanced Excel
• Ability to manage deadlines anjuh[‘pd work independently
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
