The Opportunity

We are now recruiting for a Maintenance Scheduler at TeesRep Biomass Plant in Middlesbrough.

Working as part of the maintenance planning and scheduling team, this role will be responsible for all scheduling activities relating to the maintenance function, for both planned and reactive maintenance tasks.

The Maintenance Scheduler will work closely with a multi-discipline planning team, taking accountability for all maintenance tasks that are classified as scheduled in the CMMS. Utilising best available scheduling methods, whilst identifying other opportunities to implement methods of best practice is key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a strong working relationship with the team of maintenance planners, technicians and engineers.
  • Accountable for the efficient creation and delivery of all maintenance team schedules.
  • Ensure effective utilisation of all available maintenance resource.
  • Ensure weekly plan attainment reports are created, issued and reviewed every week.
  • Conduct weekly schedule review meetings.
  • Ensure all relevant scheduling information is collated in readiness for the monthly maintenance dashboard.
  • Chair all relevant planning meetings with relevant departments (Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance).
  • Deputise for Maintenance Manager as and when required.
  • Circulate detailed maintenance schedules to wider site team.
  • Seek opportunities to affect cost savings.
  • Identify opportunities to implement “best practice” scheduling methods
  • Perform a post-mortem review of the work performed.
  • Follow-up on the gaps between "actuals v’s estimated" and correct if needed.
  • Day to day management of the discipline planners.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • ONC or equivalent in relevant trade discipline.
  • Technical background in a similar industry
  • Relevant planning skills (P6 Project etc)
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Strong SHE awareness
  • Contractor management skills
  • Experience with Maximo, Microsoft Project and other similar IT programmes
  • High concern for standards – SHE, trade skills, commercial etc
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Excellent report writing skills.
