Maintenance Operative - #146607

Uniserve, a leading UK logistics and supply chain solutions provider, is seeking a dedicated Senior Maintenance Operative to ensure smooth operation of our facilities by coordinating day-to-day maintenance activities. Acting as the first point of contact for the Maintenance Operatives, this role ensures that all maintenance work is carried out efficiently while supporting compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities:

• Serve as main contact for Maintenance Operatives, ensuring clear communication and coordination of tasks.
• Plan and prioritise daily maintenance and urgent repairs.
• Conduct inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
• Manage external contractors and enforce company policies.
• Monitor stock and source cost-effective maintenance supplies.
• Keep accurate maintenance records.
• Perform risk assessments and promote safe work practices.
• Support and guide Maintenance Operatives to ensure efficiency.
  
  

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in a maintenance role.
• Must be able to drive.
• Knowledge of general building maintenance and warehouse facility operation.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to maintenance.
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Good problem-solving skills with an action-oriented mindset.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with team members and contractors.
• Experience with working at height and MEWP operation (training can be provided if needed).
