Description
We’re delighted to advertise an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to support our Operations team at Wrexham and Liverpool plants.
Key Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Electrician at Breedon, you’ll work alongside our maintenance and operations teams. You’ll enjoy problem solving and will be working to identify the root cause for electrical defects and breakdowns, offering solutions to problematic equipment, aiming to resolve problems in a time efficient and safe manner. You’ll support the wider Maintenance team to identify and support preventative maintenance activities across our Borras Quarry and Wrexham and Liverpool Asphalt plants.
You will be responsible for developing a preventative maintenance system and carrying out planned maintenance activities to ensure that our plants operate safely and reliably. You will also play a key 'hands on' role in the planning and implementation of plant improvements. You will need to have the ability to quickly fault find, respond to any unplanned plant shutdowns and work closely with other team members and contractors as required.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Electrical maintenance experience
- Knowledge and experience of a heavy industrial environment
- PLC and VSD Experience (desirable)
- Good working knowledge of electrical LV isolation
- 18th Edition Wiring regulation BS7671 Certification
- Good understanding of Electrical maintenance methods & techniques
- Knowledge & experience of medium/high voltage networks including switching methods
- A working knowledge of BS7671 inspection & testing - qualifications in this area would be desirable
- A sound working knowledge of Health, Safety & Environment regulations
- Computer literate
- A full UK Driving Licence.
