What You’ll Do
"The Maintenance Engineer Apprentice will assist in maintaining the safety, integrity, and effective operation of plant and equipment. This role combines hands-on work with college studies, providing a solid foundation in both practical skills and theoretical knowledge eventually progressing up to HNC level qualifications. The apprentice will have a keen interest in engineering and support the maintenance team at Eaton Worksop, working efficiently and effectively on their own initiative or as part of a team. As well as receiving training and mentoring from a team of highly skilled and experienced maintenance engineers, the apprentice will also been given small projects to complete where the ability to research and learn independently will be essential.
The ability to work effectively at all levels of the business and the operations team with hands on support for improvement activities. Have a flexible approach to the changing needs of the business and the ability to adapt quickly to change and a willingness to alter direction at short notice if required. Shows moral courage, openness and honesty in all dealings and sets an example to the quality team and wider business as an advocate of quality.
The Apprentice role will undergo part time college studies on a day release basis to complete their Apprenticeship Framework which will compliment their practical experience.

Assisting with fault finding and repair on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems found on the above
Work with maintenance team on the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
Be an active participant in Lean problem solving events/ activities
Work with and assist external contractors
Be safety conscious and perform all duties to a high safety standard
Qualifications
Minimum of GCSE in mathematics Level 4 grade C or above.
