Machine Shop Labourer - #193414

About The Role

We are looking for Labourer to work in our busy m/c shop, working a rotational pattern of days and nights, Monday to Thursday, with the potential of overtime on Fridays. We are looking for an individual who has a good work ethic and is willing to learn new skills. Main duties will include the below:

Principle Accountabilities:

• Saw feed heads, tubes, test pieces to required dimensions on a variety of various saws.
• Movement of castings to and from the machine shop.
• Removal and segregation of scrap from machines.
• Weighing and identifying of scrap prior to revert.
• Revert Storage.
• Blasting of Product.
• General; Site Duties and Housekeeping.
• Coolant management.

• Working safely throughout all activities in line with FVC’s safety standards and procedures.

The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:

• Overhead crane license
• Ability to read measuring equipment
• H&S awareness
• Environmental awareness
• Flexibility
• Good communication skills
• Understanding of quality issues
• Shift working

• Fork Truck License
• Good H&S and environmental awareness.

Preferable

• Basic H&S Cert
• Basic Environmental Cert/training
• Manual Handling experience
• Pendant Crane, Lifting & Slinging Experience
• Experience of modern manufacturing techniques
