Buckinghamshire College Group is seeking an inspiring and experienced Lecturer in Property Maintenance Operations to join our dynamic team. As a Lecturer, you will play a key role in planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons, while supporting students throughout their learning journey. You will work across a range of programmes, ensuring learners achieve their full potential and progress successfully into employment or further study. This is an exciting time to join Buckinghamshire College Group as we launch a new course, offering the opportunity to help shape and deliver an innovative programme from the outset
Alongside a rewarding teaching role, you’ll benefit from a £6,000 Industry Supplement Payment (ISP) to recognise your valuable industry experience
Salary: £31,200 - £35,880 per annum, plus £6,000 (Industry Sector Payment)

Location: Aylesbury
Contract: Full-time (35 hours per week/52 weeks per year)
As a Lecturer - Property Maintenance Operations, you will:
:
  • Teach on a range of programmes, providing high-quality learning opportunities that meet the needs of individual students/apprentices and groups in line with the College’s strategic priorities and objectives.
  • Provide flexible assessment opportunities and closely plan, monitor, track and record student/apprentice retention, achievement, and success.
  • Actively contribute to the development of new programmes within the curriculum area
  • Produce annual schemes of work and/or training plans for all subjects/programmes to be taught
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality, relevant curriculum and programmes

Taking Teaching Further

The College actively engages with the Education & Training Foundation’s Taking Teaching Further scheme to recruit industry professionals to teach within Further Education.
As industry professionals offer our students industry experience and insight we support our unqualified teachers to learn ‘on the job’. You will be given full support throughout your development to fully qualified teacher status. Whilst in employment you would be enrolled onto the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. After completion you can choose to move be onto our Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training qualification. This is a great way for experienced professionals to achieve a recognised teaching qualification whilst in employment
