The role:

Coastland College have an exciting opportunity to join the English team at our Weymouth Campus.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced English lecturer to join ourdedicated team of specialist teachers to deliver English to our learners. We are looking for an individual with relevant and up to date subject knowledge and experience, as well as the ability to prepare, plan and deliver high quality lessons.

  • Are you innovative in your approach in engaging learners and help them to fulfil their full potential?
  • Can you support and nurture students?
  • Do you have excellent organisational and communication skills to ensure successful outcomes within the delivery timeframe?
  • Can you use innovative strategies to engage learners?
  • Do you have an understanding of quality assurance and assessment?
  • Are you able to engage a range of learners with diverse needs?

The ideal candidate will have a range of knowledge and experience within the FE (Further Education) sector with recent experience of teaching English.

The post is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for their subject and ambition for creating opportunities for young people.

Hours: 18.5 per week
Salary: up to £31,363 (pro rata) for Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent Level 5
