About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Learning Experience & Delivery Manager to join our Talent & Leadership team at British Sugar. In this key role, you’ll be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating the face-to-face delivery of operational training across our business. You’ll help ensure our people are equipped to do their jobs safely and effectively, while delivering engaging and timely learning experiences.
You’ll be the linchpin in turning data-driven training needs into pragmatic, actionable delivery plans that align with operational capacity and budget. This role plays a vital part in realising the benefits of our PeopleHub SuccessFactors system, improving how we operate through automation and data insight.

About The Role

You’ll be the linchpin in turning data-driven training needs into pragmatic, actionable delivery plans that align with operational capacity and budget. This role plays a vital part in realising the benefits of our PeopleHub SuccessFactors system, improving how we operate through automation and data insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Plan Development: Create a 15-month rolling delivery plan for Supply Chain & Agriculture role-based training (including onboarding and refreshers), based on data from PeopleHub.
- Delivery Oversight: Ensure training (safety, technical, leadership) is delivered on time and within budget, balancing training with business demands.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with Site General Managers, Operations & Engineering Support Managers, and the Head of Technical Agriculture to review and finalise the training plan, with quarterly check-ins.
- Attendance & Capacity Planning: Monitor learning time and attendance, enabling proactive capacity planning and maximising session attendance.
- Training Coordination: Liaise with internal and external providers (approx. 70 providers total) to execute training smoothly.
- Issue Management: Act quickly with operational leaders to resolve scheduling disruptions without compromising budget or delivery.
- Learning Experience: Use PeopleHub Learning to create a clear, engaging user experience and manage logistics (venues, equipment, materials).
- Budget Oversight: Track training budgets, raise POs, analyse feedback, and identify improvements.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for streamlining and cost-saving, manage the training mailbox, and maintain strong provider relationships.
- Proven experience managing the delivery of operational training at scale
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Confident using data, learning systems (PeopleHub/SuccessFactors), and reporting tools
- Commercial mindset – able to balance cost, quality, and impact, manage budgets wisely, and spot efficiencies
- Proactive problem-solver who can stay calm under pressure and adapt quickly
- A learner-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering a great experience
- Experience improving training processes and driving delivery efficiency
