Through proactive community and stakeholder engagement, you will champion the values of Staff Power Training (SPT) and the adult learning services we offer, inspiring individuals to enrol in our programmes. As a pivotal figure in promoting active participation and enriching the learning journey of adult learners, your responsibility lies in creating a nurturing educational environment. In this capacity, you will enhance learner referrals and enrolments for our adult learning programmes. By forging robust partnerships with external stakeholders, ensuring adherence to compliance standards, and providing essential management insights regarding referral generation, you will be at the forefront of driving growth. The Engagement Officer should be able to demonstrate our company’s core values and always be a strong ambassador for SPT.

Job Details

Identify and promote suitable Adult Learning programmes to learners.

Provide effective information, advice, and guidance to potential learners to ensure they are well-informed about the range of opportunities available through our adult learning programmes.

Engage proactively with potential learners, providing accurate and comprehensive information regarding available adult learning programmes.

Manage and maintain detailed learner referral information for each programme, facilitating smooth communication and information sharing with relevant stakeholders.

Respond to referral inquiries, offering necessary assistance and support in alignment with the specific requirements of potential learners.

Conduct comprehensive assessments of individual learner needs, aspirations, and challenges, delivering tailored information, advice, guidance, and support to facilitate their initial learning journey.

Meet monthly targets for programme starts, placement, and progressions, aligning with recruitment profiles.

Support and assist all divisions of Staff Power Training to achieve their primary objectives.

Role Holder Requirements

Ability to engage and maintain positive working relationships with learners.

Knowledge of recruitment processes and the labour market.

Excellent IT Skills, Including Experience With Microsoft Office Packages.

Strong communication skills – written, verbal and active listening.

Experience working in a target driven environment.

The ability to demonstrate excellent influencing / sales skills.

Approachable, empathetic, and able to relate to individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Flexible and adaptable, being open to new ideas and adapting engagement strategies to the needs of learners.

Organisation and planning which demonstrates good time management and prioritisation.

Embedded beliefs in teamwork, quality, and integrity.

Always improving attitude with a desire to learn and improve current performance / behaviours.

Passion for wellbeing and providing support to team members.

Skills – Engagement Officer

Strong Communication Skills: Engage with learners and stakeholders to develop good working relationships. Use a high level of written, verbal and active listening communication skills.

Problem Solving and Adaptability:  The ability to think on your feet and adapt to changing situations.

Organisation and Planning: Demonstrate good time management, prioritisation skills and being able to stay on top of multiple tasks.

Stress tolerance: Respond urgently to learner queries or complaints.

Key Responsibilities

Be aware of and follow all Staff Power Training policies.

Maintain a good understanding of recruitment processes and the local labour market to be able to identify learner needs.

Deliver performance against agreed KPIs.

Be committed to supporting people to reach their goals.

Adhere to customer service standards to ensure all customers are receiving a consistent service.

Engage and maintain positive working relationships with learners.

Ensure meticulous and timely completion of all recruitment, enrolment, and other contract related documentation, adhering to funding and regulatory requirements.

Adhere to compliance requirements relating to the role.

Flexible approach to change, innovation and progress in the work environment.

Take part in any required training needed to fulfil your role.

Undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time proportionate to the level of the post.
