Lead GI Physiologist - #35336

Applicants are invited to apply for the role as Lead GI Physiologist at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation trust to lead the purpose built GI Physiology department; the role will include undertaking a variety of gastrointestinal and other clinical measurement procedures to include: High resolution oesophageal and anorectal manometry, ambulatory intra-oesophageal pH and impedance monitoring, laryngo-pharyngeal reflux assessment, endoanal ultrasound, PTNS, hydrogen / methane breath testing, capsule endoscopy, sacral nerve neuromodulation programming and delivering behavioural therapy.
The post holder will assist with the provision of adult and paediatric GI Motility investigations including scheduling appointments, performing procedures and reporting investigations. They will need to demonstrate a range of practical skills required to provide the service and also be competent to provide training and supervision to all levels in gastro-intestinal and urodynamic specialisms.
