Summary Of Functions
To conduct process control with all chemical solutions, sample collection/analysis, react to process shifts, trend analysis and documenting. To be a self-sufficient department, operating as a ‘materials laboratory’. Processing sample parts/NPI or first off is when required.

Hours
40.5 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 07.30am until 5.00pm & Fridays 07.30am until 12.00pm

Summary Of Functions

This role will include
- Tank maintenance and chemical additions.
- Stock control of chemicals.
- pH control and chemical analysis.
- Producing and conducting tests on test panels.
- Producing and conducting tests on Hardness, Salt Spray and Coating Weight.
- Advise on RCCA when discrepancies occur.
- Support production/quality issues.
- Writing reports on findings.
- Assist in Internal Audits, Continuous improvement and 5S, REACH compliance.
- Maintaining a safe place of work, ensuring all activities performed are in accordance with regulatory and company Health and Safety policy and requirement.
- Degree in Chemistry (preferable but not required as training can be provided).
- Aerospace/ plating experience (preferable but not required).
- English, Science and Math GCSE, or equivalent.
- Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
- Well-rounded interpersonal and communication skills.
