Job Description

JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT

  • Preparation and analysis of slurry and manure samples for Residual Biogas Potential or Biomethane Potential.
  • Analysis of IBA/ APCr samples for pH and Alkali Reserve analysis.

Job Accountabilities And Main Duties

  • Attention to detail essential due to high volume workload.
  • Preparation of slurry and manure samples for Residual Biogas Potential or Biomethane Potential analysis.
  • Preparation of IBA/ APCr samples for analysis.
  • Analysis and understanding of data produced by RBP, BMP, pH and Alkali Reserve analysis.
  • Perform maintenance and calibrate instruments.
  • Check data before releasing results and transfer onto the LIMS system.
  • To work in other analytical roles within the company as the workload dictates.
  • Maintain Cawood credibility by always portraying a positive image, keeping equipment and PPE clean.
  • Respect company equipment and use as per guidelines and to report any damage to management as soon as possible.
  • Work as a team and maintain morale and actively offer help and assistance wherever possible.
  • Understand and follow the Standard Operating Procedures provided.
  • Keeping safety at the forefront of laboratory work and being proactive ensuring accidents and near misses are always reported straightaway to managers in line with our company accreditation and policy.
