IT Procurement Manager (7-month Fixed-Term Contract)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Group IT Procurement Manager to join our team on a parental leave cover basis. This pivotal role will lead the procurement of IT products and services across the Group, focusing on contract negotiation, vendor management, and strategic sourcing. Reporting to the Group IT - Head of Service Delivery, you will manage a team of five and play a key role in ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and efficient procurement operations.

Your Objectives And Responsibilities Will Focus On…

  • Leading contract negotiations to secure favourable terms and ensure compliance.
  • Developing and implementing category plans aligned with business goals.
  • Managing relationships with top IT vendors, ensuring performance and contractual compliance.
  • Supporting architectural sourcing decisions and contractual escalations.
  • Evolving procurement templates (e.g., SoWs, RFPs) to protect the organisation.
  • Monitoring vendor performance and generating regular procurement reports.
  • Staying abreast of IT procurement trends and implementing innovative practices.
  • Collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to meet procurement needs.

Your Previous Experience Is Likely To Include….

  • Proven experience in IT procurement management.
  • Proven expertise in vendor management and contract negotiation.
  • Experience managing procurement budgets and conducting market analysis.
  • A strong track record in ensuring compliance and mitigating procurement risks.
  • Experience in inventory management and performance monitoring.
  • Proficiency in generating detailed procurement reports and spend analysis.
