Here at Northampton, we operate one of the most impressive facilities in Europe, based across a campus of 5 manufacturing units, and we have a team of around 2,000 colleagues making high quality premium products every day . We are the sole supplier of sandwiches, wraps, rolls and sushi for Marks & Spencer.


What you'll be doing

  • Assemble and disassemble machinery and parts for thorough cleaning during shift transitions
  • Perform hygiene tasks assigned to specific areas, following established protocols, and completing logbook entries as necessary to meet company standards
  • Prepare and oversee cleaning equipment, ensuring proper use and storage of chemicals
  • Report any issues to the supervisor/ manager as per the provided work instructions
  • Advocate for a culture of health, safety, and environmental consciousness in the department
  • Carry out general warehouse hygiene responsibilities and oversee the management and restocking of cleaning supplies, maintaining accountability for their utilization.
  • Flexible and support and lend assistance to other areas in case of high workload or during periods of availability.

What we’re looking for


  • GCSE-level education or equivalent qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Ability to work safely and consistently follow good health and safety practices
  • Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene procedures
  • Experienced in carrying out general warehouse hygiene duties, including assembling and dismantling machinery for deep cleaning
  • Strong adherence to approved written hygiene procedures, with accurate completion of logbook documentation in line with company standards
  • Committed to promoting a positive culture of health, safety, and environmental awareness within the department
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
