HR Advisor

Perth, Hybrid

Permanent

Syme Drummond is excited to partner with an industry-leading client in the FMCG sector to recruit a talented and driven HR Advisor for a permanent hybrid role based in Perth.

This is a unique opportunity to step beyond traditional HR support and into a strategic, high-impact role that combines the hands-on expertise of an HR Advisor with the forward-thinking scope of a Junior HR Business Partner. You’ll play a key role in driving workforce transformation - leading change, nurturing talent, and supporting an ambitious people strategy across a variety of functions including warehouse staff, engineering, marketing, and sales.

In this role, you won’t just be handling daily HR operations - you’ll be shaping the future of the business. From change management and succession planning to pay and reward initiatives and employee development, your focus will be on building a stronger, smarter workforce.

You’ll work closely with a small, supportive HR team, with the autonomy to introduce fresh ideas and proactive solutions that make a genuine impact.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Partnering with managers across the business to build strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Leading discussions on organisational development and talent planning.
  • Coaching and supporting leaders on HR policies and people-related challenges.
  • Driving cultural and change initiatives aligned with business strategy.
  • Collaborating on recruitment and onboarding to ensure an outstanding candidate and employee experience.
  • Offering guidance on complex ER matters - with an emphasis on strategic HR rather than reactive casework.

What we’re looking for:

  • A seasoned HR Generalist with a strong foundation in core HR practices, who has confidently operated in similar roles - ideally within manufacturing, FMCG, or other operationally complex environments.
  • Someone who thrives in fast-paced settings and can influence at all levels of the business, particularly across diverse functions like engineering, warehouse, sales, and marketing.
  • A true, trusted advisor who delivers meaningful outcomes in areas such as change management, succession planning, leadership development, and reward.
  • A collaborative team player who can also take initiative and independently lead projects.
  • A future-focused professional with a passion for continuous improvement and a “let’s make it better” mindset.

If you're ready to elevate your HR career in a role that offers real influence, and the chance to shape the future of work, all whilst working within a team who know the importance of having fun at work, we’d love to hear from you.
