The person in this role will maintain the Firms HRIS, focusing on ensuring the system is working as effectively as possible, developing technical efficiency and supporting enhancements and integrations.
This role reports into the HR Operations, MI & Systems Manager and sits with the HR Operations, MI & Systems team. The HR function is split across seven key areas Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Reward & Benefits, Change & Delivery, Operations, MI & Systems and Learning & Development. The team’s purpose is to work harmoniously with the strategic lens necessary to deliver the Human Resource strategy. Ensuring a high standard of service to the firm’s internal clients to assist in developing the professional reputation of the department.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Act as a key point of contact for PeopleHub, having detailed knowledge of the system and its data to ensure you can answer and deal with queries or issues.
- Support the delivery of the HR Systems roadmap including project based work in Employee Central (EC), Performance and Goal Management, Reporting and Employee Central Payroll.
- Work with internal CRS teams (IT, Finance) where necessary to plan, build and implement new HRIS integrations and support maintenance of current connections.
- Manage independently the Firms position management and proactively embed position management into Recruitment and Finance process.
- Execute regular system processes such as imports/bulk updates, configuration changes, management of permission roles and onboarding document updates.
- Plan, build and successfully implement new objects (in EC) and process variants (in Onboarding) to improve HR process.
- Support with regular data cleanses and reconciliations. Demonstrate an ongoing endeavour to ensure data integrity and transparency is achieved in all aspects to do with managing data, supporting the HR Reporting Analyst to deliver reliable information.
- Proactively support the time off/absence module, including Period end processing and absence buy/sell.
- Apply in depth knowledge of EC Payroll and GUI to support the running of CRS payroll.
- Apply and share knowledge of how data flows between the core HR database and other systems across the firm and specifically the downstream impacts on other departments.
- Provide recommendations and alternative solutions to system limitations as well as troubleshooting system issues and ensure appropriate stakeholders are involved.
- Update user or internal HR documentation as required.
- Comply with all relevant legal and regulatory obligations including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Standards and Regulations, and Principles.
Qualifications and Experience
- CIPD Level 5 accreditation desirable or equivalent relevant experience (ideal but not required)
- Sound understanding of HR Systems processes and functionality, ideally in an HR generalist role previously.
- Ideally System Admin SFX Accreditation as well as sound knowledge of EC, PMGM and Reporting modules.
- Previous experience of working with SAP/Success Factors, ideally with a sound understanding of ECP and GUI.
- Intermediate skills in MS Excel (specifically ‘vlookups’, pivot tables, ‘if’ formulas etc.)
- An appreciation of the importance of our people systems and the need to strive to be better in every aspect of our service delivery
- Understanding of data protection regulations e.g. GDPR
