Job Title: HR Business Partner (6 months FTC) – Immediate Start

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week

Salary: up to £50,000 and benefits

Location: Cardiff or Blackpool based, hybrid working 2 – 3 days in the office.

The main purpose of this fixed-term role is to support the People team in driving the overarching People strategy during a period of change within the bank. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior HR Business Partner, senior leaders and line managers to diagnose people priorities, create and/or implement people plans, and help implement organisational design initiatives.

The HR team work closely with the Bank to support all areas of the employee journey, from onboarding, employee relations, compensation and benefits to performance management, engagement, culture and diversity. The team is structured to support the reactive needs of the business whilst also providing proactive guidance to drive and improve people performance.

Your Impact: Building a greener tomorrow

As a HR Business Partner at Tandem your focus will be on:

  • Support the wider People team in developing and executing projects and initiatives.
  • Building good working relationships with key stakeholders through regular meetings, either face to face or remotely.
  • Utilising people MI to identify key trends, provide insights and support action plans to improve people and business performance.
  • Support and drive the People strategy in areas such as performance management, engagement, talent management, compensation and reward.
  • Support compliance with employment law and relevant regulatory compliance across the Bank including compliance with the Senior Manager & Certification Regime.
  • Provide employee relations and general support to the HR team on an ad hoc basis

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Relevant HR generalist experience, with a focus on business partnering and/or organisational design
  • A flexible and adaptable style with the ability to work at both operational and strategic levels
  • Good understanding of employment law
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and influence others of all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in HR data analysis and insights
  • Ability to think critically and pragmatically
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Are a team player, willing to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and work outside your job remit, when required, to ensure the success of the overall team
  • Are CIPD qualified

It would be great, but not essential if you have:

  • Previous experience working in an FCA-regulated environment and an understanding of SMCR and FCA regulations applicable to HR.
