The Role
As a HR Advisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will work collaboratively with senior colleagues to develop proactive and innovative interventions that will help shape best practice and drive forward the people plan.
Day-to-day, you’ll be the first point of contact for all employee related queries.
Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. We are happy to consider flexible, blended working, including part-time, condensed hours, and job sharing. Please ask about alternative patterns of work at interview.
Experience Required Of The HR Advisor

- Provide advisory guidance and coaching on employment law policy
- Identify complex ER cases and escalate where neccessay
- Act as lead for absence management, working with line managers to conduct welfare meetings and find suitable resolutions
- Support line managers to find effective resolutions to all formal processes
- Record and collate all ER casework and ensure records are kept up-to-date

Experience Required Of The HR Advisor
- Previous experience in a relevant HR role
- Experience of working in ER in a unionised environment
- Understanding of employment law and legislation
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to develop strong relationships
- CIPD Level 5 qualified preferred
