Earn £12.60 per hour (£24,638 per annum) pro rata and great benefits including Health Cash Plan

This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management worker to join our team here in Older Persons Teesside. As our Housing and Property Guru, you’ll support our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you’ll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them to live independently.
Typical day as a Housing Management Worker
- Customer group - over 55's with a support need.
- Making sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, you’ll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.
- Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.
- To support the next customers who needs our help and for maximum occupancy, you’ll turn around vacant or void properties within set timescales. This may involve picking up a broom or paint brush!
- You’ll carry out and record the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities making sure we’re compliant.
- You’ll also manage the admin updating records, ordering, and arranging payment for works to be done

You bring
- A background in property management, but that’s not a deal breaker! Perhaps you’ve worked in an environment with compliance and health and safety checks?
- A “can do” positive attitude, you’re proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help your customers.
- The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
- Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners
- Passion for property and get a thrill out of knowing that your properties are the best they can be for our customers!

Job details
- Working Hours 0830-1630 Monday and Tuesday and 0830-1330 on a Wednesday
- Based at our service in Middlesbrough you’ll spend your time managing the scheme and occasionally you will be asked to cover other services or attend team meetings
- Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups,
- To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
- You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
