HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver - #187317

Seeking a full-time, permanent Truck Driver based in Castleford, West Yorkshire, primarily working on General Haulage (Curtain side).

Responsibilities include safely driving a curtain side lorry, loading/unloading cargo with proper securement, planning routes, and conducting vehicle inspections. Drivers will use apps for deliveries, follow all regulations, and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• At least 3 months experience as a commercial driver with a C+E license and Driver CPC
• Proven driving skills and attention to safety
• Physical stamina for loading/unloading and long hours
• Valid ADR card preferred, with ADR training offered after probation
  
  

Pay is £14/hour, or £14.50 with ADR, plus £50 for weekends. Expect 50-60 hours/week, with varied start times (06:00-08:00). Benefits include parking, company events, and leave. The role involves working away most weeks, with occasional weekend work. Vehicles are supplied, equipped with inverter and fridge, and cleaned before start.

Shift is Monday to Friday, with potential night outs and occasional weekend runs, always discussed beforehand.
