Job Summary

Here at Defence Medical Services (DMS), we are inclusive and dedicated, working to provide excellent care to our entitled personnel.

We are looking for a friendly, well-organised and adaptable Joint Medical Training Requirements Authority (JMTRA) Analyst to join our encouraging and welcoming team working within Coltman House at DMS Whittington, Staffordshire.

The vacant post is a full-time position. Part-time candidates will be considered but due to service delivery requirements it must be on a job share basis as full-time hours need to be covered.

Strategic Command Transformation

Strategic Command is going through a significant transformation programme which aims to improve the way the Command conducts its business and delivers for Defence and the nation. Job Description

Our successful candidate will be undertaking in-depth Project Analysis/Training Needs Analysis to assess the actual role/task requirement for assigned projects in Element 1 of the Defence System Approach to Training (DSAT) process and ensure compliance with policy.

Person specification

Duties And Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Acting as project manager for allocated work programme or as part of a project team and undertake analyses in support of medical training using project management principles.
  • Undertaking learning and development and upskilling as required.
  • Administering/conducting all job/task requirements identified by Assistant Head JMTRA through Ops Mgr JMTRA and produce detailed reports with supporting objective evidence.
  • Undertaking activities as part of the DSAT Training Needs Analysis, and Element 1 of Training Design and Development. This will include Scoping exercises and reports and Role Analysis to include job specification and identification of tasks.

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working.  This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. The sift will be completed within 10 working days of the vacancy closing date. Interviews will be held on a date to be confirmed.
