Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthy Homes Advisor to join our Property Services team. This role focuses on supporting customers with damp, mould and condensation issues, often involving sensitive conversations and independent visits to customers’ homes. You’ll provide clear advice, ensure compliance with Awaab’s Law, and help customers maintain a safe and healthy living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend customers’ homes to diagnose damp, mould and condensation issues, completing accurate assessments and identifying root causes.
- Deliver sensitive, sometimes challenging conversations with customers where issues may be caused by behaviours, poor ventilation or household practices.
- Undertake light cleaning or treatment of small areas of mould using appropriate cleaning products, ensuring you follow health and safety procedures.
- Provide clear, accessible customer education on how to maintain a healthy home, including humidity management, heating use and ventilation.
- Identify hazards and triage risks during home visits, escalating safety concerns promptly.
About you:
- Can you deliver excellent, empathetic customer service, even when conversations are sensitive or challenging?
- Do you bring resilience, strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in emotionally charged situations?
- Are you comfortable using cleaning products and carrying out small areas of mould treatment when required?
- Do you have a genuine willingness to learn and develop, including completing the HNC Building Studies qualification as part of your progression?
