Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust are pleased to be able to offer the opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our team in the delivery of the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and we would love to hear from you.

If you have a current NMC registration in any branch of nursing or midwifery and you are passionate about the public health agenda and improving health outcomes for children, young people and families; then this may be the career choice for you. You will work in an integrated 0-19 team within a locality of Peterborough. You will be supported with an induction programme and bespoke workshops throughout the year to facilitate your learning; gaining the skills and knowledge you require to support the Health Visitor or School Nurse to deliver our service confidently and competently.

Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. To work as a member of the 0-19 Team, providing a clinically effective high quality service to children, young people and families under the direction of the HCP Team Leader. The post holder will work within a corporate caseload with other team members to assist in the provision of family-centred public health service to children and young people and preserving the health of individuals, families and communities.

A key part of the role will be to support in the delivery of the 4,5,6 model of care within the HCP, delivering universal services, together with meeting some complex needs ad supporting the SCPHN in improving outcomes, especially in the six high impact areas.

The post holder will be expected to work in partnership with key agencies, such as Children’s Services and Education to address health inequalities and improve outcomes for families with children and young people.
