Position Summary

To provide dedicated Health and Safety support to the Washington Plant.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards, including updating and implementing policies and procedures as required
  • Review and update the legal register as required
  • Manage the risk assessment process
  • Oversee first aid arrangements
  • Organise and deliver training
  • Update HSE metrics
  • Write and issue reports as required
  • Write and issue Health and Safety briefings
  • Carry out regular safety audits and tours
  • Conduct Health and Safety & Environmental monitoring and assessments
  • Chair Health and Safety meetings and issue minutes
  • Coordinate accident and incident investigations, maintain logs and statistics, and ensure actions are completed
  • Liaise with the HSE and other regulatory bodies as required
  • Develop and run Health and Safety initiatives
  • Manage PPE
  • Oversee contractor procedures and permits to work
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the position as and when required


What We Are Looking For

  • Qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate level
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental practice within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience as an internal auditor
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Practical auditing experience of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
