Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional and practical support to service users
  • Assist with personal care, including hygiene, meals, and daily living tasks
  • Support individuals with medication in line with company policies
  • Monitor and record vital signs and maintain accurate care records
  • Promote independence and support individuals in making informed choices
  • Contribute to the development and review of care plans
  • Encourage participation in social and community activities
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including fire safety and risk assessments
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals and external agencies
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to service improvement
  • Support administrative tasks to ensure smooth operation of the service

Requirements

  • At least 3 months’ experience in a care setting
  • Understanding of basic healthcare and patient care procedures
  • GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths
  • Good general health and ability to carry out physical care tasks
  • Strong organisational, communication, and record-keeping skills
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins
  • Commitment to training and professional development
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in line with GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
