We are seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator to join our dedicated team and play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our employees.

Responsibilities:

Compliance Coordination:

  • Ensure continuous awareness of UK Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Facilitate the company's adherence to all relevant regulations.

Training Programs:

  • Collaborate with the QHSE Manager to coordinate and deliver comprehensive health and safety training programs for employees at all levels.

Safe Working Practices:

  • Foster awareness among employees and ensure strict adherence to safe working practices.

Incident Investigation:

  • Support the QHSE team in investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Determine root causes and facilitate the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Emergency Preparedness:

  • Contribute to maintaining robust emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first aid protocols.

Safety Communication:

  • Assist the QHSE Manager in effectively delivering QHSE documents, Toolbox Talks (TBTs), and Safety Alerts to all CES employees.

Recordkeeping and Reporting:

  • Maintain meticulous records of safety-related activities, such as incident reports, inspections, and training documentation.
  • Upload records to the company's Business Management System (BMS).

Coordination of Information:

  • Aid the QHSE Manager in orchestrating information for various documents, including company board reports, group-level board reports, TBTs, QSE Meeting Minutes, and Safety Alerts.

Safety Committee Participation:

  • Actively engage as a team member in delivering the company's Safety Committee.
  • Address safety-related issues and actively contribute to fostering a strong safety culture throughout the organisation.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • IOSH Managing Safely qualified or working towards this certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in a health and safety role is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
  • Proficient in all aspects of document control and in using IT applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Salary: £28,000 per annum

Hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. Office-based.
