A snapshot of your day

As the Finance Head of the Hull Plant at Siemens Gamesa, your day will involve leading the Controlling & Finance team and ensuring all financial activities within the factory are implemented effectively. You will report directly to the Finance Head of Blades Operations and play a crucial role in financial decision-making, compliance, and transparency. Your responsibilities will include overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and driving process improvements while collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Lead the Controlling & Finance team of the Hull factory, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with external audit requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with factory business activities, including RIC, ERM, and signature protocols.
  • Create financial transparency to support informed decision-making across the organization.
  • Guide technical partners in commercial matters to enhance financial performance.
  • Be responsible for the monthly closing, forecasting, and annual budgeting processes for the factory’s P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and other financial critical metrics.
  • Calculate the annual Factory Price (F-Price) according to SGRE costing guidelines.
  • Establish a cost-awareness culture within the factory and ensure the achievement of cost-out targets.
  • Make investment decisions and drive operational improvements and digitalization within your area of responsibility.
  • Collaborate with other factories in the SGRE Manufacturing network and support or lead global initiatives.
  • Engage with the local workers council as part of the management team to negotiate and interact effectively.


What You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and oral.
  • Strong people management skills and experience working in an intercultural environment within a large organization.
  • Knowledge of factory controlling and financial processes, as well as accounting principles (IFRS).
  • Proficiency in IT systems, particularly SAP (SRP) modules CO, FI, MM, SD, and MS Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • An outgoing and persistent personality with the ability to work with complex processes.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • A cooperative teammate who is eager to learn and focused on improving processes.
  • Committed to achieving targets and driving improvements.
