We're looking for a Head of Finance to enable the delivery of the Trust’s mission and charitable purposes by providing a comprehensive, high quality financial and business service to the organisation. This role is supported by a Finance Officer.  


Key duties of the Head of Finance are to:

  • Manage the financial affairs of the Trust and its commercial subsidiary, Herefordshire Wildlife Enterprises 
  • Manage Financial risk, security and compliance 
  • Manage and develop key financial systems, XLedger
  • Contribute to the strategic leadership of the Trust as a member of the Senior Management Team
  • Undertake Payroll, VAT, taxation, pensions and PAYE, with support of the administrator
  • Support and give financial advice to the Trust’s projects and programmes, including business development support as we continue our growth strategy
