Holroyd Howe is one of the UK’s leading contract caterers, providing fresh innovative food services solely to independent schools and colleges. We are a team of experienced professionals who tailor our catering service provision specifically to suit children of all ages in order to meet the bespoke requirements of each school.

This exciting position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with a total of 35 hours per week at a rate of £14.50 per hour.

You will be based at the prestigious King Henry VIII School in Coventry, which is a prominent educational institution with a rich history. Founded in 1545 by King Henry VIII himself, the school holds the distinction of being one of the oldest schools in the United Kingdom. Originally established as a grammar school, it has evolved over the centuries and today it is a co-educational comprehensive school, offering education to students aged 11 to 18.

The essential ingredient at the heart of our business is our people so we are searching for an experienced Head Chef with a background in exceptional food catering services to join our business and work at one of our highly prestigious education settings.

As a Head Chef you will;

• Work closely with the Chef Manager in the day to day running of a fast paced busy school kitchen.
• Provide meals for break and lunch service producing between 400-800 meals per day.
• Train and develop all team members to enhance their skills and capabilities
• Assistance includes menu composition and cost calculations, alongside managing procurement and inventory supervision.
• Be available for weekend and evening work as required, however the job will predominately be Monday - Friday daytime hours.

As well as having an excellent presentation, organisational and communication skills, you will be able to demonstrate a real passion for food & service and possess bags of enthusiasm.
