About the role

Our Harm Reduction Leads are integral to the running of our services. As a Harm Reduction Lead, you will work collaboratively with the operations team to provide support, information and advice in relation to reducing drug and alcohol harm to individuals accessing WithYou services in Rotherham. As part of the role, you will be responsible for delivering training to partner agencies and colleagues on NSP, Naloxone etc. You’ll work with closely with our clients to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to guide them on their path to recovery.

This is a frontline role at WithYou, where you will provide continuity of care through effective multi-partnership working, care coordination, key work responsibilities, and intervention delivery. You will manage an active caseload, connecting quickly with clients and ensuring they’re always treated with respect and dignity. The role will play a key role in the development of Harm Minimisation interventions within the community.

Essential Skills

We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. You will have demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, or a clear motivation for wanting to work in the drug and alcohol sector, preferably with some experience in harm minimisation. A successful track record of providing efficient and reliable customer service is essential.

You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, and be able to manage your time effectively. You will work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure a high-quality service is maintained. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do and has a positive and engaging approach to our clients and key stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• have attained ONC/NVQ level 3 or be willing to achieve this within 12 months
• have a successful track record of working with people who misuse substances
• have some experience of working in a health, social care or related setting
• have experience of presenting and delivering training to sector professionals
• have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike
• be able to work effectively in a team, supporting others when needed
• be compassionate, caring and demonstrate WithYou's core values

This is a Fixed Term Contract covering Maternity Leave until 31st August 2026. The working hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Salary: £23,821.35 - £31,762.50 per annum (depending on experience)
