As a Group Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the company’s financial reporting and consolidation process. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the group’s financial data, support compliance with regulatory standards, and provide valuable insights to facilitate strategic decision-making. This role is integral to maintaining strong financial controls and supporting the company’s ambitious growth plans.

Base: Hybrid working arrangement with regular visits to the Runcorn office

Main Responsibility

  • Maintain and develop group accounting policies and ensure compliance across subsidiaries.
  • Assist in any queries arising from the monthly consolidation process.
  • Assist in the coordination of the preparation of annual statutory accounts for the group and its subsidiaries.
  • Assist in the management of the external audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial controls across the group.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support the implementation of financial systems and tools as required.

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications and Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with a strong academic background.
  • Experience in a group finance or audit role, preferably within the healthcare or related sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS.
  • Experience with group consolidations and multi-entity reporting would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in financial systems (e.g. ERP software) and advanced Excel skills
