Our client, a successful and growing civil engineering business, is seeking a motivated graduate to join their Bid Team based in their Runcorn office.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a busy pre-construction environment, working alongside experienced bid professionals who will support your development and provide full training.

The Role

As a Graduate Bid Writer, you will play an important role in supporting the preparation of compelling tender submissions and pre-qualification documents. You will learn how to create persuasive content that helps secure major construction projects across a variety of sectors.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of bid and tender submissions.
  • Researching project information, clients, and market sectors.
  • Writing and editing high-quality responses to tender questions.
  • Coordinating information from operational teams and subject matter experts.
  • Supporting the development of case studies and bid library content.
  • Ensuring submissions are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time.

About You

We are looking for ambitious graduates who are eager to develop a career within the construction industry/bid management.

You will ideally have:

  • A degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Business, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
