The Goalkeeping Coach Development Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and delivery of a comprehensive framework to support the growth of goalkeeping coaches at all levels within the football pyramid across the male and female game. A key member of the development team, they will be required to work collaboratively across the National Goalkeeping Departments, supporting the work of ‘Unearthing, empowering and inspiring future generations of England Goalkeepers and Goalkeeping Coaches'

What will you be doing?
Education Management & Pathway Development:
- In collaboration with the FA goalkeeping technical leads, design and oversee the goalkeeping coach development strategy in alignment with the FA's broader coaching and talent development objectives.
- Identify and address gaps in the goalkeeping coaching pathway, developing targeted programmes to support coach progression.
- Collaborate with technical leadership and the National Goalkeeping department to ensure goalkeeping is fully integrated into wider football development and national strategies.
- Liaise with National Team staff and other key stakeholders to share best practice across education and performance environments.
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based coaching courses and workshops for goalkeeping coaches at grassroots, talent, and elite levels.
- Embed a structured curriculum that incorporates technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of goalkeeping.
- Establish and manage mentoring and CPD support systems to enhance the development of goalkeeping coaches.
- Ensure all educational content and materials meet national and international standards, including FIFA and UEFA requirements.
- Develop contemporary, future-focused content by engaging with relevant insight outside football.
- Act as Goalkeeping Coach for at least one England development team, attending relevant planning, review, and training events.
- Support up to three goalkeeper-specific camps per season and collaborate with clubs on player management.
- Attend club fixtures and compile reports on England pathway goalkeepers as part of ongoing tracking and talent ID.
- Establish and use performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of goalkeeping coach education programmes.
- Monitor coach development and progression, making recommendations to improve impact and pathway alignment.
- Champion ED&I across all aspects of goalkeeping coach development.
- Proactively increase participation from underrepresented groups in goalkeeping roles.
- Executes additional tasks as required to meet the FA's changing priorities.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure that the highest standards of health, safety, and well-being can be maintained.

Essential for the role:
- Demonstrated experience in coach education, mentoring, and development.
- UEFA Goalkeeping A Licence or working towards.
- Expert in the development of young goalkeepers and goalkeeper coaches (Male & Female.)
- Experience in practical delivery as a GK Coach.
- Excellent presentation, practical and theoretical delivery with the ability to use a variety of approaches.
- Excellent understanding of coach development, particularly adult learning theories.
- Skilled in building trust, mentoring, and delivering personalised development support.
- Strong communication, organisation, and planning skills.
- Committed to equality, diversity and inclusion within coach development and the wider game.
- Undergraduate degree in Sports Coaching / Sports Science or equivalent.
- Experience and evidence of translating academic content into practical delivery and translating practical experience into course content.
- Experience of strategy development and working towards clearly defined KPIs.
- Teaching qualification.
