The Global Sales Operations Lead is crucial in enhancing sales processes to boost revenue and streamline operations. Leading all aspects of go-to-market strategies development, coordinating CRM, aligning territories, analyzing sales data, tracking performance metrics, and forecasting revenue in collaboration with the Senior Manager of Global Sales Operations. Collaborating closely with the Global Sales Compensation Manager, the Global Sales Operations Lead will optimize the entire sales execution process, from territory design to compensation outcomes.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement Go-to-Market Strategies: Work with the Global Sales Compensation Manager and senior leadership to build and implement effective end-to-end go-to-market strategies, collaborating closely with global and regional sales leaders to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Optimize Territory Alignment: Lead sales analysts in the annual territory alignment process, including the creation of detailed workbooks and IT rules for CRM updates, ensuring territories are optimized for performance and efficiency.
  • Oversee Sales Compensation Programs: Work closely with the Global Sales Compensation Manager to design, implement, and manage sales compensation programs that align with business objectives and drive desired sales behaviours. Ensure accurate and timely compensation payouts by managing the entire process from territory design to compensation results.
  • Manage Salesforce CRM Operations: Be responsible for the Salesforce CRM system to ensure it accurately reflects the current selling model. Improve CRM efficiency and adoption through training and support offered to sales teams.
  • Apply Advanced Sales Analytics: Apply advanced analytics to identify performance gaps and opportunities for improvement, providing actionable insights to drive sales efficiency.
  • Establish and Track KPIs: Define, monitor, and analyse key performance indicators to measure success and drive continuous improvement across the sales organization.
  • Lead and Mentor Sales Teams: Mentor and develop a hard-working team, encouraging a culture of excellence and continuous development.
  • MBR/QBR Reporting: Develop detailed dashboards for senior leadership review, offering insights and strategic recommendations.

Keys to Success

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, operations, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales operations, analytics, or related roles.
  • Proven track record in optimising sales operations and driving revenue growth.
  • Proven experience in managing sales compensation programs to drive sales behaviours and align with business objectives.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Expertise in Sales Operations systems and processes:
    • CRM (Salesforce preferred): Advanced knowledge in data management and workflow automation.
    • Territory Management: Skilled in designing and optimizing sales territories.
    • Programming: Proficient in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis and automation.
    • Power BI: Experienced in creating interactive dashboards and reports.
    • SAP: Familiar with managing data governance processes.
    • Additional Systems: Knowledgeable in Tableau, Microsoft Excel, Cognos, and sales performance management software.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-regional teams and senior leadership.
