We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent General Operative/Handyperson in HMP Garth, Ulnes Walton, Leyland PR26 8NE.

The salary is £26,141.95.

The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week, between Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00 (finish at 16:00 on Friday).

At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons. By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.

What You Will Do

  • Complete general maintenance tasks around the site.
  • Support tradespeople on site.
  • All other FM duties as directed by team manager.

What You Will Bring

  • Time management skills.
  • Solid experience in DIY/ general building maintenance.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and follow and adhere to instructions.
  • Experience working within a large site area.
