A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

  • Leading daily operational reviews to monitor service, productivity, quality, and cost performance across warehousing and distribution activities.
  • Coaching and supporting senior managers and department leaders to drive engagement, performance, and personal development.
  • Reviewing labour planning, productivity metrics, and financial performance to ensure operational and budgetary targets are achieved.
  • Driving a safety-first culture through site audits, compliance reviews, wellbeing initiatives, and health & safety leadership.
  • Leading continuous improvement and change initiatives to enhance efficiency, service levels, and overall operational performance.
  • Managing escalations and implementing solutions relating to people, processes, systems, and operational challenges.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

  • Enjoy leading operational teams and are passionate about developing people and creating high-performing cultures.
  • Have significant warehouse, supply chain, leadership experience within a fast-paced distribution environment – retail distribution, or e-commerce experience would be advantageous.
  • Thrive in change environments and have experience supporting start-ups, TUPE transfers, business transformation, or culture change programmes.
  • Are commercially minded and comfortable managing budgets, productivity, cost control, and overall site performance.
  • Have a strong focus on health, safety, and compliance and are committed to creating a safe and engaging workplace.
  • Enjoy building relationships with senior stakeholders and influencing positive outcomes through strong communication and leadership skills.
