The role

As a Financial Planning Revenue Accountant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be a support of the Senior Finance Business Partner IT by preparing the IT recharge budget and forecast for Babcock Corporate Services.

Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for raising invoices, forecasting and budget analysis, amongst utilising stakeholder management skills through supporting on recharge queries.

  • IT recharge billing preparation and analysis
  • Assist customers with controlling IT spend and identifying savings
  • Business partner with external stakeholders to ensure all accurate information is captured
  • Provide monthly IT recharge report with detailed variance analysis and commentary
  • Review BCS costs and ensure the IT recharges are fairly reflected
  • Identify areas of opportunity to automate more recharges
  • Assist with preparation of other Corporate Services recharges as required
  • Maintain strong collaborative relationships with all stakeholders


This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and provides a very flexible hybrid working arrangement and is based at Lakeside, Portsmouth.

Essential Experience Of The Financial Planning Revenue Accountant

  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Application, especially excel
  • Able to develop positive and professional relationships with key stakeholders, demonstrating collaboration and teamwork
  • Able to demonstrate strict attention to detail
  • Able to prepare and present difficult and complex financial information
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP System is desirable
  • Basic understanding of coding is advantageous


Qualifications For The Financial Planning Revenue Accountant

  • Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA
