We’re looking for a Finance Project Administrator to ensure projects are administered correctly through our Finance Systems and that the integrity of the projects data is maintained, alongside enabling the Trust to continue our portfolio of project work.
This essential role supports the finance and non-finance colleagues alike, helping to administer key project information key to the business. There’s a great opportunity to learn new skills working within this busy and dynamic team.
What it's like to work here
You’ll be based at our Finance Service Centre (FSC) alongside other teams responsible for processing all financial transactions for the National Trust. It’s a hugely important and busy function that’s helps us deliver great service. This vital operation is key in supporting our core purpose, and we take real pride in being part of something so impactful.
Your contractual location will be Epsom Court, Trowbridge and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office two days per week. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.
What you'll be doing
Day to day you’ll be creating projects, moving them through the framework and loading project forecasts into our Finance System. You will also be managing a busy mailbox along with other members of the team, so responding to emails, reviewing spreadsheets, working alongside one other Finance Project Administrator and Finance Support Accountants. You’ll be communicating via Webex, telephone and via email.
You’ll have had some administration experience, ideally in a Finance System, but we’re more interested in your ability be willing to learn new skills, with the ability to solve problems. You’ll use your numeracy skills and have experience using spreadsheets to be effective in this role, but fundamentally you will be comfortable communicating with stakeholders across the Trust. You’ll use your organisation skills to self-manage your workload, keeping on top of your priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Who we're looking for
- Experience in data entry or administration
- Disciplined and methodical approach to perform duties with attention to detail
- Confidence communicating with a variety of people, finance and non-finance alike
- Working knowledge of standard PC software such as Excel and SharePoint
- Knowledge of Finance Systems and Database Management would be advantageous
