The Finance Assistant is responsible for the financial management of key client accounts. Establishing and operating a financial management process that ensures that both internal (T&T) and external client needs are met and that the account is profitable. The Finance Analyst will be the single point of contact for all Finance related queries on the commission

  • Set up and maintenance of jobs on the Financial Management System (charge rates, target fees and cost, closing finished jobs)
  • Management of Interco agreements and Interco invoice
  • Responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting reviews with Project Director
  • Explain variances against budget and forecast figures
  • Review and analysis of the Management Account
  • Responsible for the monthly invoices and billing report
  • Support for the Credit Control tea
  • Responsible for the monthly finance reports to  external client
  • Respond to requests for information on profitability/deep dive review of job
  • Support to KAM in providing messages and confidence to the busines
  • Check and approve contractors’ invoices on purchase ledge
  • Responsible for the contractors’ accrual
  • Support financial analysis within the Cost Assurance functio
  • Develop and define how financial data is reported to external client
  • Assist in the growth of the Cost Assurance service offering


Skills

  • Quantitative skills – understanding and manipulating numbers and data
  • Strong Excel Skills (including Sumif, Vlookup, Pivotables and Graphs)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisation and time management
  • Ability to work on own initiative and meet tight deadlines
  • Flexible and responsive attitude

Qualifications 

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in a Finance discipline, or equivalent qualification
  • Working towards or an ambition to obtain ACCA/ CIMA  qualifications – support can be provided
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working within accountancy/finance based roles 
  • Good knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, invoicing and management
  • Experienced in using financial management systems and reports
