Overview
We are seeking a Facilities Support Operative to join our dynamic Facilities Management team in Wakefield. This role is integral to the day-to-day operations of our facilities support desk, providing administrative and operational support to ensure a safe and efficient working environment for all staff. The Facilities Support Operative will manage incoming calls and emails related to maintenance issues and queries.
Working hours are on a shift rotation basis between the hours of 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday.

Overview
We are seeking a Facilities Support Operative to join our dynamic Facilities Management team in Wakefield. This role is integral to the day-to-day operations of our facilities support desk, providing administrative and operational support to ensure a safe and efficient working environment for all staff. The Facilities Support Operative will manage incoming calls and emails related to maintenance issues and queries.

How You'll Make An Impact
- Respond promptly to queries received through the Facilities Support Desk, ensuring efficient resolution of issues and concerns.
- Issue work orders to contractors as appropriate, and meticulously log performance against defined internal and external response levels.
- Provide comprehensive support to the Facilities Management team, assisting with administrative tasks and operational functions.
- Maintain continuous coverage of the Facilities Support Desk during working hours, ensuring adherence to all processes and policies.
- Develop and maintain strong communication links internally, fostering key relationships across support functions.
- Assist in monitoring and recording Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators for outsourced contracts, escalating issues as necessary.
- Support the Regional Facilities Managers and wider Facilities team on various projects, contributing to the overall efficiency of operations.
- Carry out general administrative duties such as purchasing, processing invoices, and managing communications to ensure smooth operations.
- Organise meetings, produce agendas, minutes, and presentations as required, supporting the Facilities team in achieving departmental objectives.
- Experience of working in Support/Service Desks
- Strong communication skills at all levels.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of business needs in a professional services environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Familiarity with CAFM systems or logging is desirable
- Right to work in the UK
