Equans is looking for a External Site Assistant to join our team in Baxi, Preston, PR5 6FN on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £22,500 and £23,794 depending upon skills and experience and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: 730-1630 Monday-Thursday. 0730-1130 Friday with a half hour unpaid Lunchbreak each day.

What will you deliver?
  • Emptying of external waste bins, including litter picking and bagging up rubbish, making sure it is disposed of correctly.

  • Support the HSE team members in the waste collection, segregation, and disposal of site generated waste streams.

  • Undertake occasional gardening duties as required.

  • Where requested undertake general labouring activities to support minor maintenance / project works.

Who are we looking for?
  • Basic IT skills
  • Competent at basic DIY repairs and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of cleaning materials and their use, including cleaning chemicals and their safe use and storage as per their Safety Data Sheet.
  • Knowledge H&S procedures and precautions, including COSHH
